In 1947, the CB&Q purchased three A-B-A sets of F3 locomoties for use in passenger service. These locos were painted aluminum with red and black lettering and stripes. Both units have high fans, steam generators, no dynamic brakes, etched metal grills and numerous wire grabirons. Complete with Kadee couplers with the Regal Line F unit drive, and DCC ready.
