Iron Horses For Steam Fans





The T1 4-8-4 locomotives, the basis of a stunning new model from 





Precision Craft, operated by the Reading were some of the most 





well-known locomotives in the U.S. The prototypes for these locos 





powered the famous "Reading Rambles" steam excursions throughout 





the Northeast into the early 70s, and one, #2101, went on to lead 





the American Freedom Train. The #2100 has operated for several 





years in Ontario on various excursions, and in 2006, will lead

Patterned After A Pennsylvania Railroad Prototype





This new kit from railway Heritage Models division of the N Scale 





Architect is based on the Mid-Grade Tower (MG Tower) along the 





former PRR mainline between the famous Horseshoe Curve and 





Gallitzin, Pennsylvania. Completed by the railroad in 1944, this 





brick tower oversaw the immense number of trains and helper 





engines that ran over the four-track mainline. The MG Tower kit 





includes laser-cut brickwork, wood, plastic and metal pieces as 





appropriate and complete instructions. Not only is the PRR a 





popular prototype with many modelers, the tower still stands, so 





this kit will appeal to steam- and diesel-era modelers.
