Available On: June 1, 2009
Dear Customers:
Last Summer a photographer and model railroader by the name of Dave Martin contacted us at PWRS. He said he had something we might want to see. It seems in 2007, while he was minding his business in the Canadian Rockies a train approached. Dave took a picture of what he thought were unusual looking grain cars.
The result is the image below. Well a number of customers have asked for a high res copy of Mr Martin great Photo. So he is making a limited number available to us for our customers. They will be signed by Dave. So if you want one let us know.
This is a beautiful 12 by 18 inch high resolution copy of the picture signed by the photographer and suitable for framing.
The picture, taken at Morant's Curve in July 2007, shows a westbound CPR freight train with two of the new Saskatchewan grain cars heading toward Vancouver. This well-known S-Curve in Banff National Park is named for Nicholas Morant, the photographer for the Canadian Pacific Railway from 1929 to 1981 who took many pictures from this location.
This viewpoint can be accessed from the Bow Valley Parkway and is well known to photographers and train buffs.
