Dear Customers,
We have been advised that TrueLine Trains has changed their plans for the SW1200RS engine. Not that they will be less beautiful or detailed, or less functional. Due to the high cost of manufacturing Trueline Trains is going to release the SW1200RS's in stages.
Simply put: the pictures below tell the tale of what will be standard on these engines.
The first release is the late CNR Noodle Paint Scheme:
Only six (6) Canadian National engines will be made in the first production run. 3 engines will have a black cab and 3 engines will have an orange cab. Trueline Trains could not say when all the other paint schemes will be done, so all orders for other paint schemes will remain in place unless until notified otherwise.
This picture is of an actual model from the factory of the new unit:
The first release of these "new" SW1200RS engines will be two versions of the CN Late paint scheme. There are only two issues:
You may ask, I only have a DC layout, what do I do? You can get the DCC/Sound units; the only problem will be supplying enough power to make them run - they start at five volts or more. Or you can take out the DCC/Sound board and direct wire the locomotive (if you know how to do that - one needs to know when to use a resistor to protect LED lights, and how to wire lights, power, etc. directly) or you can replace the sound decoder with a regular board.
We're told, the manufacturer gets to choose what he will produce. We know they will be meticulously detailed and accurate to the highest degree possible.
The First Release will be CN Late, and will include the following details:
TrueLine Trains will fill orders only; no extra supply of these engines will be brought in or kept by the manufacturer.
Included Optional Detail Parts:
Rear number boards and lights independently controlled (see picture):
