Atlas has announced the Premier 40 ft PS-1 Box Car with 8 ft Door

D&RGW’s “Cookie Box” box cars were used in bakery service for the Bowman Biscuit company bakery (later Keebler) in Denver and traveled throughout the west. These cars featured an eye catching silver paint scheme with black lettering and the stylized “Cookie Box” logo in red. Some cars were painted black on the ends, and a small number were white with black ends. The two road numbers in this release are from the group of cars that received the silver and black scheme.

These cars, 77 in total, were modified by the DRG&W between the late 1950s and early 1960s for their intended bakery service. This included extra insulation to prevent their sweet cargo from freezing. Ultimately the Cookie Box cars were either retired or put into MOW service, lasting into the 1980s.
