Hoppers have been around since the early days of railroading. Initially, they carried coal, but as time passed other products were carried too. With time and new products, came new types of hoppers with increased capacity. Some of the new products were either so light that they could be disturbed by wind, or were sensitive to moisture. For these new types of loads, covered hoppers were developed. Since that time, larger and newer types of cars have continued to be developed and today, covered hoppers are one of the most important types of rolling stock.

This release includes twelve schemes with three road numbers available for each.
