Canada Post
As most of you know, Canada Post is most likely going to be shut down due to a strike (or lock out). Given contract negotiations have failed, we need to consider how to ship goodie boxes and regular shipments.
If you wish to ship your goodie box and you are within Canada, you must decide for yourself:
1. We can ship today or tomorrow, until they shut down, but that might leave your goods sitting in a warehouse or way station till they go back to work - YOU MUST DECIDE if you are willing to risk that.
2. We can hold your goodie box, and that might be the best idea.
3. If we ship after the strike, we will use UPS.
4. We can ship by an alternative means of your choice: There are other carriers, like Purolator, CanPar, UPS, FedEx, and Greyhound, to name a few. Some are quite reasonable, if not quite so much as Canada Post. You will have to provide the waybill.
We will not provide estimates. We cannot spend hours going through various weights, measures, and postal codes to determine possible costs for shipping, with various services.
If it is so important to you that we ship now, then you may call the carrier of your choice, determine how and when to ship, and we will do our best to fulfill your requests. The best way to do that is to create the way bill yourself, notify us, and arrange a pickup time at our warehouse.
If you have your own business or personal account with FedEx or UPS, or any carrier, you can instruct us to use your account number and reverse the charges to your account.
Please do not call to ask our clerks any question about shipping. They have no idea of what you might or ought to do. Any calls about shipping will be referred back to this media page. If anyone tells you anything else, it is not to be considered from PWRS or reliable information as to what we might tell you.
