Dear PWRS Customers: the group organizing the Vancouver Train Expo is looking for persons who would like to be involved organizing this years show in November 2017. Here is the info below, please email them to get directions for the meeting.

Initial Meeting of Vancouver Train Expo Advisory Group

Vancouver Train Expo lacks sufficient individuals to organize the event, however enough interest has been expressed to warrant going forward with a meeting to see if the necessary resources can be found to keep the event alive.

The meeting will be held in east Vancouver on Saturday March 4, 2017 between 2:00 to 4:00 PM.  If you are interested in helping to keep the Vancouver public train show alive please contact Tom Lundgren at [email protected] for the details of the meeting and the proposed organization structure.

The meeting will start with a brief overview of the event and its current status in order to provide the background information necessary for individuals to make informed decisions about participating.  The rest of meeting will be focused on finding individuals to take on the organizing roles as this is the greatest, and most critical need.  Without a competent, enthusiastic and motivated organizing committee the event will not continue, hence discussion about other aspects of the event will be limited.

Currently there is no organizing committee.  Those of us who have been involved with putting on the event will go over the roles and answer questions.  Individuals will not be asked to commit to taking on roles at this meeting, but will be invited to reflect on the information provided, the skills and energy they could bring, and if interested in assuming one of the roles, to respond in writing indicating why they are interested in the position and outlining the skills and experience they would bring to the work, by a date to be determined at the meeting.
