Broadway Ltd Steams Up New 4-8-4 Mountain - SANTA FE NOW WITH PARAGON 3 FEATURES!

ATSF-4-8-2

The #3751 is the oldest surviving 4-8-4 steam locomotive. It was the thirteenth 4-8-4 out of 892 constructed for US railroads between 1926 and 1950. Presently, she is cared for by the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society.

This model represents the #3751 as she looks now. Since their original construction in 1926, the 14 locomotives in the class went through several rebuildings, including changing the driver size from 73 inches to 80 inches, conversion from coal to oil firing, having the two sand domes replaced by one larger one and changing out the Elesco Feedwater Heater in favor of a more efficient Worthington system.
