Genesis® Rock Island F7 Locomotives

It has come to our attention that a recent production run of Genesis Rock Island F7's with Sound have reached the US market in a partially disabled state. Under normal circumstances we ship a small number of our sound-equipped Genesis locomotives to Europe and, in order to comply with their electronic regulations, the hand-held sound activation device is disabled. Unfortunately, the entire shipment of Rock Island F7's, including product destined for the US market, had the hand-held device functionality clipped. The following item numbers are affected:

• ATHG22183
• ATHG22184
• ATHG22185

Not everyone needs to return his/her locomotive for service. If your Genesis locomotive is destined for a DCC layout then all sounds will function normally through your DCC controller. It is only DC sound selection using the hand-held activation device that is disabled. We apologize for the error and any inconvenience this may cause, but feel it is our responsibility as manufacturers of top-quality models to ensure all of our products meet our superior standards.

If you have product you would like to return, please call Horizon Hobby Customer Support within 30 days at 1-800-338-4639, and arrange for return of the models in exchange for credit. At that time you can backorder replacement models which we expect to have ready by summer of 2009.
