ExactRail Announces N Scale Trinity 5161 Covered Grain Hoppers: DRGW, BNSF, NS, UP, DME, CSX, SOO

ExactRail has announced new road schemes in their Trinity 5161 cu. ft. covered hoppers. The mix includes D&RG, BNSF with the standard corporate logo, BNSF with the "Swoosh" logo, Norfolk Southern with the thoroughbred logo, the UP with CMO markings, the DM&E, CSX with "Grain Express" markings, the Canadian Pacific Railway with the Beaver logo and SOO markiings. With the exception of Coal Trains and 89' Autorack Trains, no freight train consist is missing some of these, usually a few of several road names and colors. The colors are here and can be contrasting, the Canadian Pacific Railway SOO provide a great mix. When riding my bicycle in the parking lot of the MARC commuter train, these would roll past at an iritatingly slow pace for the cars trapped trying to cross the tracks, but my bicycle and I just enjoyed the slowness to observe the variance in the consist. You can setup two 70 car consistes moving in opposite directions and savor the moment. Good running but remember to make them creep. It's a freight yard after all, don't you know. Harold

TrinityRail standard 5,161 cubic foot covered hopper car is a high capacity, through sill car designed for the efficient shipment of grain products, sugar and dry chemical products. This 286,000 lb. gross rail load covered hopper has standard 24-inch continuous trough hatch and standard 30-inch by 30-inch discharge outlets

The hoppers are avalable in 8 assorted road names available in 3-packs. Most roads have 9 road numbers (3 in each 3-pack). This car is a must- have for the modern modeler who loves unit grain trains and is a great addition for anyone who appreciates a highly detailed model worthy of their layout.
