Trinity Industries introduced the Aluminator in 1992 to compete with the Bethlehem Steel Bethgon. The bottom of the tubs slopes downward from the center to the ends giving the cars a distinct appearance compared to other coal gondolas. Since it’s introduction, the car has had two redesigns that increased capacity. Today, these cars can still be seen plying the rails of North America.
This release includes eight schemes with single road numbers and two 6-Packs available for each.
