Kato has announced new Japanese items
A new variation will join the series 787. The real train belongs to Minami Fukuoka Rolling Stock Center and Oita Rolling Stock Center, which is currently serving as the main limited express train under the nicknames of “Kamome,” “Kirameki,” “Nichirin,” “Hyuga,” or “Kirishima”. With this train, you can run various trains in Kyushu ranging from luxurious trains to local trains such as “Seven Star in Kyushu,” and the Series 885, 883, 813, KIHA47 “Aqua Liner.”
JR Chuo line started in 1889 as KobuRailways to operate between Shinjuku and Hachioji through Tachikawaand now reached 130thyear. As one of the events to celebrate the 130thanniversary which began in 2019, Series E233 for Chuo line in T24 train consist wrapped all orange resembling the former series 201, which was familiar as Chuo-line orange train, is now operated until end of August, 2019.
Series 701 is a light stainless 3-door, 20-meter-class AC suburban electric train which was recently deployed to replace passenger trains and JNR electric trains, which had been engaged in the commuter and freight transportation. The train is equipped with VVVF inverter control system and furnished with long seats for a smoother ride.
Eizan Electric Railways Kuramaline achieved its 90th anniversary on Dec. 1, 2018. To celebrate the anniversary, they held special events for one year. For one of the events, the maple red train of series 900 “Kirara” was repainted into a maple green color scheme to operate from March 21, 2019 to early December as the “Green Maple Kirara.”
A set with the D51 steam locomotive, 3 nostalgic passenger cars, oval track, and controller (Power Pack Standard SX) now joins the Kato starter set series. The passenger cars in the starter set are specifically made for the set and are not sold as individual passenger cars.
Series 60 Coach were steel coachs, manufactured by converting truck frames from wooden coaches, to enhance transportion capacity security in post-war Japan. They were manufactured as mail/baggage combined cars, the 3rd class cars, and baggage cars. Until they were decommissioned, they were in service in various areas in Japan.
As many as 23,600 18D container were manufactured from 1988 to 1991 by JR Freight to replace the existing JR type containers. Because of the large production quantity, it was the majority of containers used in the 1990s.
This express started the service since December of 2017 to succeed series E257 or E351 which had been operated as “Azusa” or “Kaiji”, etc. It has superb curving performance like series E351 equipped with mechanism of tilting body on curves using air springs.
