Kato N Scale General Electric ES44AC Locomotives Found
Dear N Scale Customers: We were talking to one of our smaller suppliers in Canada and were surprised to find out they had a couple each of the Sold Out Kato Canadian National ES444AC!
We have turned away many customers looking for these. So if you would like a pair click away. We know these will not last long.
The Kato drives are one of the best, and with so much of our regular manufacturers not making engines right now (because of the shut down of one factory in China), there is a shortage of good CN Modern Power right now in N Scale.
The ES (Evolution Series) of locomotives are built by GE Transportation Systems and designed to meet the U.S. EPA's Tier 2 locomotive emissions standards that took effect in 2005. These Evolution Series locomotives are equipped with AC traction motors and are powered by a newly designed "GEVO-12" 12 cylinder engine that produces the same power as the 16 cylinder AC4400CW, but with fewer emissions and greater fuel economy. It also carries a redesigned air-to-air dual-fan heat exchanger, which gives it its distinct "oversized" radiator; a common spotting feature for these new locomotives.
This release includes three road names with two road numbers available for each.
