DELIVERY UP-DATE You are receiving this e-mail because our records show that you have one or more of the models below on reservation with us.
Yesterday morning Ajin Precision returned from nearly a week long national holiday. After spending the last day regrouping and analyzing their production, they have advised us that the production of the UP Heritage sets and the UP Heritage SP/D&RGW/C&NW locomotives would be delayed to a projected ship date of 10/22/07 with delivery to OMI projected for 10/24/07.
The following models are affected: AA-1285-1 - SD70ACe - UP/C&NW AA-1289-1 - SD70ACe - UP/D&RGW AA-1291-1 - SD70ACe - UP/SP AJ-1869-1 - SD70ACe - 6-unit UP Heritage set We realize that many of our dealers have already forwarded payment in full for these items or provided payment details for those that use credit cards for payment. We have not cashed any checks for the above mentioned items nor have we processed any credit cards so that if any delay did occur we would not have removed the funds from your account. If the projected delivery date holds true, we will anticipate cashing your checks and processing credit card charges on or about 10/16/07 so that funds are available to make the transfer for the product delivery.
We regret the delay for these products. However, we prefer to have the delay so that we can deliver a quality product rather than pressing our partners in Korea to rush product to delivery only to find issues with paint/ lettering/ construction. As you might guess the Heritage units are a complex paint scheme that does require additional time and efforts due to the multiple colors and unique graphics applied. If you have any other questions or concerns, please direct them to me directly via any of the contact methods mentioned below my signature.
Overland Models values your business, our retail customers and the quality of our product and we would appreciate your further communication of this information to your retail customers for their understanding.
Sincerely,
Brian T. Marsh, President
