Atlas Announces 40' Rebuilt Refrigerator Car - P. Ballantine & Sons "Ales and Beer" for Father's Day

Ever since Atlas O first introduced our amazingly-popular 40’ wood reefer 9 years ago, one of the most requested decorating schemes has been Ballantine. One of the most popular brews in the tri-state area, the name Ballantine conjures up memories of baseball, summer fun and the famous 3 ring logo.

By special arrangement, Atlas O is pleased to offer prototypically-accurate models of the cars that serviced the Newark-based brewery of P. Ballantine and Sons. The prototype cars were leased from Merchants Despatch (MDT) during 1934-1936. The ten cars involved in the lease were numbered 100-109 and carried the reporting marks PBBX, representing the P. Ballantine Refrigerator Line. The extremely accurate decoration is based upon actual prototype photos and 8 road numbers are offered
