Kato (Japan) has announced the June 2021 Releases
Bullet train Shinkansen E3-2000, which is operated in Yamagata prefecture, was recently repainted in a new paint scheme with the motives of prefecture bird, mandarin duck, and prefecture flower, safflower. Kato will make the scale model with unique characters for 2000 with new window layout carved on car Nos. 16 and 17 and 4 kinds of colorful symbol marks printed on car Nos. 11 and 16 which represent the four seasons in Yamagata. The top car heading for Tokyo E311 (Car No. 11) is equipped with mechanism to couple top cars. Using it, you can couple the train with E2 Shinakansen “Yamabiko”.

Hokuetsu Express 681-2000 Series "Snow Rabbit Express" 9-Car Passenger Set
KATO will reproduce the series 681-2000 “Snow Rabbit Express” that is operated by Hokuetsu Express.
This train is the Hokuriku Express Hokuhoku Line, which is a bypass line from the Tokyo area to the Hokuriku area. This limited express train that was operated at the fastest speed of 160km / h on conventional lines. The body color of "Frosty White" and the lines of "Crimson Red" and "Aqua Blue" that shine in the snowy country catch the eye.

Series 521 3rd Model 2-Car Passenger Set
● Series 521(3rd)
521 Series 3rd.Version is a group newly built in 2013 or later, and features a shock-absorbing cab and a different slanted light arrangement than the previous series.
All of the trains belong to Kanazawa railway yard, and are the same as the regular trains between Tsuruga and Kanazawa on the Hokuriku Honsen. Basically, the trains are operated in two train-car, and the maximum number of the train-cars is six.
Two trains were transferred to IR Ishikawa Railway when the Hokuriku Shinkansen started service in 2015, and a new train with the same appearance (different wrapping paint) is also in service at Ainokaze Toyama Railway.
Composition of Trains
Features:
- The initial production secondary car, which has the same front design as the 521 series (secondary type) and 223 series 2000 series, features a body inherited from the 223 series, extra high equipment on the roof peculiar to the 521 series, and a whistle cover.
- Two types of leading inter-vehicle fall prevention hoods (for leading and intermediate connecting) are reproduced as selected parts. The intermediate connection is used to avoid interference when connecting the leading cars.
・The current form of the G21 formation belonging to the Kanazawa Car Maintenance Center is a prototype.
・The JR mark on the driver's cab console, the formation number tag, the skirt, and the front glass part. Reproduce the display formation number etc. by printing
・Both leading cars are equipped with a coupler cover + a dummy coupler of Denren at the beginning. It is possible to connect the leading cars by replacing it with the attached coupler for leading connection.
・The coupler of the intermediate connecting part is equipped with a body mount close-coupled coupler.

・Head The light reproduces the difference in color between the sealed beam and the fog lamp.
・The power is equipped with a power unit with a well-established flywheel. Stable running is possible. Traction tires have been installed.
・"Ordinary Kanazawa" has been printed on the destination display. The front display of "Ordinary Fukui" and "Ordinary Tsuruga" is prepared as an accessory for replacement.
● The current appearance of the 521 series (tertiary type) and J13 train (made by Kawasaki) belonging to Kanazawa Car Maintenance Center is a prototype.
- Reproduce the front design, skirt, and roof details that are different from the 521 series (secondary car)
- Reproduce the unique expression equipped with the fall prevention holo that became the standard design for JR West commuting and suburban trains
- Equipped with a dummy coupler that reproduces the coupler cover + Denren at the beginning. By exchanging with the attached coupler for leading connection, it is possible to connect leading cars to each other.
・Adopting a close coupling coupler (without hook) for the intermediate connecting part
. Equipped with traction tires and front destination display printed with "Ordinary Kanazawa". "Normal Tsuruga" and "(plain)" are included for replacement. The side destination display is expressed in plain black. Destination display sticker included

Series E3-700 Yamagata Shinkansen “Toreiyu Tsubasa” Type 6 Passenger Cars./Set
Series E3-700 formation R18 debut on July 19, 2014. This train is the first resort train on the Shinkansen, "Toreiyu Tsubasa", was converted from one of the E3 Series trains used on the Akita Shinkansen "Komachi", with the theme of enjoying "food, hot springs, history, culture, and nature", while taking a walk like in the spa town. The interior of the train has been drastically modified with tatami mat seats, a bar counter, a lounge, and a footbath.
Currently, the Yamagata Shinkansen "Tsubasa" still operates once a day, mainly on weekends, between the conventional rail section from Fukushima, Yamagata to Shinjo.

● The top car E311-1000 of scale model too is equipped with the openable nose coupler with which it can be coupled with the scale model of Series E4 Max Shinkansen Bullet Train.
