New BC Rail and CN Pressure Differential Covered Hopper Car coming from Intermountain

Dear HO Scale Modelers, we have a number of members of Pacific Western Rail's staff at the NMRA Convention here in Hartford this weekend.

At the show a number of new products were either announced or displayed. One such new item is from Intermountain. They had test samples of their new Pressure Differential Covered Hopper Car. The car was owned by BC Rail, Canadian National, and a few other minor private owners.

Intermountain has not finalized the terms and conditions of the release information for the new cars, but here are a few prototype images of the new car. We will post more information as it becomes available. But we assume they will release at least 6 road numbers. And we will now begin to take reervations.

This car should be a great hit with our Canadian National and British Columbia Railway fans. The Cars were built by Procor in 1973. BC Rail had them numbered between BCOL 2206 - 2230. Canadian National had at least five groups of cars built by Procar and delivered, some had black and some had red graphics and lettering:

   1) CN 374100-374124 New 1969

   2) CN 374125-374159 New 1970

   3) CN 374200-374299 New 1972

   4) CN 374300-374324 New 1973

   5) CN 374050-374099 New 1975
