This Bachmann Silver Series N Scale Old-Time Wood Bobber Caboose is based on "old-time" steam-era wooden cars from the 1800s used into the early 1900s. this four-wheel caboose features realistic wood car sides with three windows, a cupola, appropriate underbody and end railings. The Old-Time Wood Wood Bobber Caboose has a detailed injection-molded body with realistic decoration, metal wheels and E-Z Mate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers. It's perfect for use with other Bachmann N Scale old time-styled wood trains.

These specialized cars were actually three complete tanks riding on one frame. They could be used to ship different types of petroleum products, such as gasoline, kerosene and home heating oil, or different grades of gasoline such as regular, super and premium to smaller customers from the 1920s to the 60s.
 
Colorful and completely assembled, the models feature body-mounted EZ-Mate II(R) knuckle couplers.

The Wide-Vision Caboose (also known as Extended-Vision Caboose) was designed with a wider cupola projecting from its sides. After World War II, train cars began to be taller and wider than their predecessors. The extended cupola assisted the train’s crew in seeing beyond both the tops and sides of the train cars ahead.  This caboose design saw service on most U.S. Railroads. Bachmann’s Wide-Vision Cabooses are fully assembled and come in a variety of colors and road names.
