Kato (Japan) has announced the October 2022 Releases
This year 2022 marks the 150th year since the opening of Japanese railroads in 1872. In celebration, a train of E2 1000s Shinkansen was painted back to the color scheme of series 200 at the time of Tohoku Shinkansen's inauguration and put into the regular operation in June, 2022. The accurate representation of the former livery is now in the spotlight so much that even a memorial train in the configuration was operated in addition to the regular operation.
Features
① Kato will make 10-car full train, as an especially planned item, for the series E2 in Series 200 color scheme which reappeared marking the 150th year since the opening of railroads in Japan
② The color scheme of series 200 with a green stripe associated with sprouting new green plants is rendered on the N-scale model.
③ For middle car connection, diaphragm couplers looking like articulated couplers are used. Car top coupling mechanism is reproduced, realistically showing the real coupling.
④ Head/taillights light up. Headlights use electric bulb color LED.
⑤ Slotless motor is employed and realized yet smoother and quieter move.
⑥ DCC friendly

● EF65 is a JNR's AC Electric Locomotive, 308 of which were manufactured in 15 years from 1065, to pull freight trains and high speed freight trains on flat railroad areas. EF65 1000s was dubbed PF (Passenger/Freight) meaning usable for either passenger or high speed freight transport and is still operated by JR firms after JNR's division and privatization. Steam Locomotive D51-200
This steam locomotive emerged in 1938 and engaged in drawing train named “Steam” in the yard since it had entered into “Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum” in 1972. Nonetheless, it returned to the mainlines in November, 2017 to draw steam locomotive train “Yamaguchi” This locomotive is characterized by a gorgeous atmosphere created with golden decoration here and there such as boiler bands or deflector rims or with white color painted on the run board sides.
Features
● Kato will make the N scale model of Series 35-4000 which is currently operated as steam locomotive “Yamaguchi”
● The set of this passenger car train packed with its locomotive D51 200 will be released as a specially planned product.
● The unique appearance will be represented comprising such design of the old model passenger cars as observation decks on the both ends of the train dummy ventilator and double roof etc. and such latest devices as rooftop coolers and generator under carriage bolsterless trucks.
● The unique atmosphere of the train is accurately reproduced with such details as outstanding observation decks tail marks and taillights.
● Body-mount tight couplers are employed for connection between middle cars while a body-mount Arnold coupler is adopted for the side to connect to the locomotive. A knuckle coupler is provided in the package for exchange.
● DCC friendly
● The specially planned item #10-1499 will be supplied with selectable number plates (Black/Red Background) Knuckle couplers for exchange and double locomotive heading and head marks.
● A new color version, black, joins the popular pocket line series "rural freight train sets". A freight train pulled by a black locomotive which you feel like having seen somewhere. Combine it with Unitrack compact series and enjoy running it in a small space.
◆ Features of the product
① A 3-car train set reminiscent of electric locomotive and 2-axle freight cars (TOMU + TOMUFU) which looks like running still on a rural private railway line.
② The body color is all black including the locomotive (EB223 except the gray roof of the locomotive
③ Base frame and shoes for the pantograph are represented in black.
④ Small coreless motor is employed as the power unit.

Reddish brown truss bridges are in various parts of Japan. It is a familiar item seen in various landscapes and with trains. Not only is it laid on a diorama but also it can be used as a display stand for a train. The color matches separately sold deck girder bridge and curve bridges red. Combining it with them will realize more magnificent scenery of bridges. The bridge will make it more realistic to operate a train.
