Series 287 Panda Kuroshio "Smile Adventure Train" 6-Car Passenger Set (Especially Planned)

● Item Introduction

Series 287 Panda Kuroshio is a wrapped train, marking in 2017 JR West Japan's 30th anniversary and in 2018 the 40th anniversay of the Adventure Worls (Shirahama, Wakayama). It is very popular with an impressive Giant Panda face on the front and various scenes of active animals in the animal park.

◆ Product Features

A slotless motor is used for driving and the front coupler on the top is the Kato tight coupler without hook + electric coupler parts. * In order to couple with the conventional train add-on set, another type front coupler is sold separately for exchange.

• The blue-color gradation beneath the side edge of the cab is reproduced.

• The employment of a sloless motor has realized smoooth and quiet run.

• Kato tight coupler without hook is ued on the head of the top car. Electric coupler parts are included. Body-mounted tight couplers are used for mid-car connection.

KIHA 283 "OKHOTSK/TAISETSU" 3-Car Passenger Set

● Item Introduction

Series KIHA283 is the pendulum express diesel train which made the debut as "Super Ozora" (Sapporo - Kushiro) in 1997. Sporting 130 kms/h operational maximum speed, it significantly shortened the time to travel between Sapporo and Kushiro from 4 hours 25 minutes to 3 hours 40 minutes.

While traveling as "OKHOTSK/TAISETSU", it does not use the pendulum mechanism, operated in a 3-car consist (or 4-car consist with relatively more passengers).

◆ Product Features

The scale model produced this time does not incline on curves like the prototype to enable enjoying run in a short consist just like the real train.

• A new structure is produced, that is not installed with pendulum mechanism on curves like the prototype.

• Head/taillights turn on. Headmark "OKHOTSK in Japanese" is attached. A white LED is employed for the lighting unit.

• Tight body-mounted couplers with hook are adopted.

• Accessories: Rooftop details, headmarks for exchange "OKHOTSK in English, TAISETSU in Japanese & English", Destination display stickers
