Series 255 9-Car Passenger Set

● Item Introduction

Series 255 is a DC LimiedExpress collectively called "BosoView Express" which debuted in 1993. It was operated for limited express on Uchiboand Sotobolines on BosoPeninsula, Chiba.  Now it is used mainly as "Shiosai" on Sobumainline. The scale model can be run in pararellwith or passing by various trains travelling Tokyo and Chiba or run along with Series E131-0.

◆ Product Features

・Characteristic car body shape, bold vestivulelessfront form, bright blue and yellow paint scheme are accurately reproduced.

・Equipped slotlessmotor, realizing smooth and quiet move.

・Body-mounted Kato tight couplers (hookless) are employed for connection between middle cars in the train.  Dummy couplers are fitted on the train tops.

・Head/taillights turn on.

◆ Product Features

・KATO will make an N-scale model of No. 80013 consist operated by LNER

・The graphic design on the train top reminiscent of makeup of Kabuki player and the red stripe with thick and thin parts on the train body are reproduced.

・Inner framed boggies under car No. 4 through 6 and simple rooftops without equipment between airconditioners are represented.

・Indicator lights above the 1st class top car is reproduced.

・Head/taillights turn on. With headlights on, the indicator lights are on upon upper and lower parts.

・With a slotless mortor emplayed, smooth and quiet movement is realized. The driving boggies are equipped with traction tires.

・1/148 scale and R282 minimum radius

・Layout of chairs in the chamber for underfloor equipment is partially different from the real train.

Series 131-0 2-Car Passenger Set

● Item Introduction

E131-0 debuted in 2020 for the improvement of local transport in Bosopeninsula area, Chiba. The outside is  decorated  with body side blue stripe symbolizing Boso'ssea and yellow stripe reminiscent of the rape seed flower. The front is adorned with polka dots associated with foamy waves. The train is in service on Kashima, Uchiboand Sotobolines with some of them in 4 cars combining two 2-car trains. Enjoy E131-0 in Bosoarea which is seen in operation as E235 1000s, 255 and E233-5000s, E259 "Narita Express".

◆ Product Features

・Such decorations as blue stripe reminiscent of seas around the Bosopeninsula and yellow stripe symbolizing the flower of rape seed, grown there, on the train sides and the polka dots associaedwith seawaveson the front side are beautifully reproduced.

・Head/taillights, front indicator lights, fare display lights (White LED) turn on. Granularshapedtaillights are reproduced.

・A slotlessmotor is used, materializing smooth and quiet move.

Series 43 Night Local Train “Sanin” 9-Car Passenger Set

● Item Introduction

"San-in" was a local train which travelled 386.2 km between Kyoto and Izumo city at night. It had sleeping cars with bunk beds connected although it was a local passenger train.  The train consisted of baggage car, mail car, Series 43 coaches and was towed by locomotive DD51.

◆ Product Features

・The prototype for the scale model is the cars which belonged to Izumo passenercar depot about 1980, while MANI 60 belonged to HAMADA and  SUYUNI61, to MIYAHARA depot.

・Body color for MANI 60, SUYUNI 61 is represented by grape color No. 2, the rest is represented by blue No. 15.

・Taillights on MANI 60, SUYUNI 61 and OHAFU45 turn on (with turnoff switches)

EF510 0 Electric Locomotive

EF510 was manufactured for the first time in 2002 as a new generation locomotive with saved power consumption and high output power. EF510-0 is characterized by the logo "RED THUNDER" on the sides of red body.EF510-500 blue was originally a locomotive for passenger trains and used to  tow sleeper limited express "Hokutosei" and "Cassiopeia", etc. Together with EF510-0,  it pulls a long and heavy train mostly on the railloadlines continuing on the sea sides on  Japan Sea.

 

 

Electric Locomotive EF58 150 Kyoto Railway Museum Exhibit Cars (Hobby Center Kato)

● Item Introduction

EF58 150 is now preserved and exhibited at the Kyoto Railroad Musium.Based at Miyahara train depot, it was in service for a long time.  But it was decommisionedin 2011.  It is now on exhibit at the Kyoto Railroad Musium.

When the locomotive was carried in the musium, the body color was changed from brown to blue.
