E7 Series Shinkansen “Kagayaki” Sets

[E7 SERIES]

Series E7 is in service as the major Shinkansen train on Hokuriku Shinkansen Line. Currently it is operated on Joetsu Shinkansen Line as well as Hokuriku Shinkansen Line.

 

[W7 SEREES]

Series W7 debutted between Kanazawa and Nagano on Hokuriku Shinkansen opened in 2015 shares the basic design with Series E7 operated in the same area but it is different in logos or letterings on the body.

Kato will make the scale models of Series E7 and W7 in the current form. They are planned for extension in operation to Fukui/Tsuruga starting from the time table change in March, 2024 and are now in the spot light.

 

◆ Product features

• The form of the top taking over the so called "one motion line" of E2 Shinkansen and the calm paint scheme with sky blue and copper colors are recreated.

• The included destination stickers will cover Joetsu Shinkansen stations as well as those of Hokuriku Shinkansen extended to Tsuruga.

• Diaphragm couplers are used to connect middle cars, materealizing realistic and secure connection.

• Slotless motor is used to realize smooth and quiet movement.

• Head and tail lights turn on. The minimum negoatiable radius: R315

 

[N-GAUGE Starter Set E7 SERIES HOKURIKU SHINKANSEN "KAGAYAKI“]

• The vehicles included in the train set are the same as those in 10-1980 Series E7 Hokuriku Shinkansen "Kagayaki"basic 3-car set.

• "Power Pack Standard SX"easy to use and especially painted in black with high output power of 1.2A and "AC adaptor dedicated for starter sets" are included in the set.

● Item Introduction

Tokyu Corporation is a railway company which has an operational network in the southwest part of the metropolitan area. A 10-car train set called Series 5050 4000s was introduced when the direct operation was started over to Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin line. The driving power will be upgraded to slotless motor in the scale model.

 

◆ Product features

• The train wrapping with the design of high-rise buildings in Shibuya as well as "TOKYU LINE" logo on the golden rooftop and on the black stripe below the side windows are recreated.

• The middle cars are equipped with Kato tight couplers with hook and the tops of the end cars are furnished with Dummy couplers as the standard.

• Head/tail lights and the front destination display lights turn on.

• Slotless motor is used to realize smooth and quiet movement.

• Front displays stating in Japanese "60K Limited Express Motomachi/China Town" are preinstalled. Stickerss "53K Shonandai", "60K F Rapid Kotesashi" are included for exchange.

• Destination stickers are included for selection of the destination you like.

 

Series 225-100 “Shinkaisoku” Sets

● Item Introduction

KATO will make the scale model of Series 225 with vehicles furnished with "A seats" operated in JR Kyoto/Kobe line, a major line of JR West Japan. Series 225 is the latest model used for Shinkaisoku (New Rapid). Series 225 (3rd version) are a goup of car No. 100s which has been additionally operated from 2020. Car No. 700s are vehicles which have been introduced to increase the operations of charged seat service trains, that are characterized with cross seats and 2 doors on a side of the car body.

 

◆ Product features

• Kato will make the scale model of K1 consist (4-car set), I10 consist (8-car set) belonging to Aboshi General Vehicle Depot.

• Guard parts to prevent fall from platform are molded as separate parts, those for the top cars and those for combined train operation are both prepared..

• Each car is equipped with body mounted Kato tight couplers (hookless). The top car is (1 layer) colers for power.

• Head/taillights, front display lights turn on using white LED (with turnoff switch)

• Each train is equipped with front display light "A Shinkaisoku Himeji".For exchange, 4 car set includes "A Shinkaisoku Yasu", 8-car set includes "A Shinkaisoku Maibara", "A Shikaisoku Omi-Imazu".

● Item Introduction

Riding a Shinkansen bullet train is regarded to be a popular activity by overseas travelers to Japan. It is an almost established way of tour to land and enter into Japan at different airports and then crossing several regions by Shinkansen. Kato has prepared single top cars of popular Shinkansens or Narita Express as souvenirs which people can easily pick up in hand on their jouneys and feel the high qualitiy craftmanship of Japan.

Kato (Japan) plan to release first of all the top car of "Series E5 Shinkansen", "Series E6 Shinkansen", "Series E259 NEX (Narita Express)" respectively in April and that of "Series E7 Shinkansen" in August.

• The product consists of a top car, a Unitrack straight track 186 mm for display and a handschoch against rolling basically.

• Series E259: KUROE259-5 (Renewed Design), Head/taillights turn on.

• Series E5: Car No. 10 Gran Class E514-2, Head/Taillights turn on. No coupler is mounted on the top..

• Series E6: Car No. 11 First Class (Green Car) E611-2, Head/taillights turn on.

• Series E7: Car No. 12 Gran Class E714-17, Head/taillights turn on.
