DESCRIPTION
These C&O general service gondolas were converted into coil steel cars in 1976-1978. They were installed with steel troughs designed to hold the heavy steel and stainless steel coils. As these coil loads didn’t require weather protection, no covers were necessary.

DESCRIPTION
These Norfolk Southern Box Cars in series 440200-440449 were originally SOU Box Cars. These insulated Box Cars are class XPI and were built in the late 1970’s by Fruit Grower’s Express. They feature Barber Roller Bearing trucks.

DESCRIPTION
These cars are in memory of the 9,000+ brave allied soldiers who were killed or wounded, of more than 160,000, who landed on the beaches of Normandy in Nazi occupied France to help turn the tide of WWII and end Hitler’s Tyrannical Regime. Each car includes a landing craft (American or British) and two Czech hedgehogs, sitting on a part of Normandy beach.

This 65’ mill gondola with Bettendorf trucks was built for Southern Pacific in the late-1950s and was designed to haul finished structural steel shapes and other bulky loads. Southern Pacific was a Class 1 railroad from 1865 until 1996, when it was absorbed by Union Pacific after falling on hard times financially in the 1970s and 1980s.

50ft Standard Box Car
his one-of-a-kind Delaware & Hudson boxcar with Roller Bearing trucks was built in 1964 and painted in a bright red D&H livery. It was 4,932 cubic feet in capacity, and featured a cushioned underframe. The original Delaware & Hudson operated 1,581 miles in the Northeastern United States from 1823 until 1991, when Canadian Pacific absorbed the rail line.

100 Ton 3-Bay Open Hopper
Built in the mid-1970s to the 1980s, these 100-ton coal hoppers with Barber Roller Bearing trucks belonged to SLSF and ATSF prior to being obtained by BNSF in the mid-1990s. Burlington Northern was formed through the mergers of Great Northern and Northern Pacific in 1970, and then merged with ATSF in 1995 to form BNSF. BNSF is one of the largest freight railroads in the country with over 32,000 miles of rail.

Poultry & Egg Series #5 Bradbury Produce 40ft Wood Reefer
Built in 1928 by the Pressed Steel Car Company, this 40’ double-sheathed wood reefer with Bettendorf trucks is lettered for the Bradbury Produce Carlot Shipping company of Woodward, Oklahoma, carrying their “Sweet Heart Milk Fatted Poultry” product. Bradbury’s Woodward facilities were severely damaged by a 1.8 mile wide F-5 tornado in 1947, causing millions of dollars of damage and many deaths through several towns.

45ft Trailer
Built by Freuhauf in the 1970s and 1980s, originally as a 40’ Z-Van, these trailers were later stretched to 45’ and belonged to the series 257519-257814. Founded in 1859, Santa Fe was one of the largest railroads in North America up until 1996, when it merged with Burlington Northern to form BNSF.

89ft TOFC Flat Car
This 89’ flatcar with Barber Roller Bearing trucks was built in 1978 by ACF and set up for TOFC service for Denver & Rio Grande Western. D&RGW was formed in 1870 and operated the highest mainline railroad in the United States through the Colorado Rockies at an altitude of 10,240 feet.
