The InterMountain Railway Company N Scale SD40-2 Locomotive has finely molded and etched metal detail parts that have been designed to reproduce railroad specific details. Sound units come equipped with an all new ESU LokSound 5 DCC Micro "Slide-In" sound decoder which allows for road name specific prototype flashing ditch lights. The models are also offered as standard DC.

 

All are Ready-to-Run. Some details may be included for installation by the modeler.

The N scale SD40-2W has been manufactured with the 4-window safety cab, the snow shields over the air inlets and the distinctive stairwells and handrails.

Available as DC and DCC with Sound.

-DC models are equipped with a DC only circuit board and are DCC Ready.

-Sound units are equipped with an ESU LokSound Select Micro-Slide-In DCC decoder and a "sugar cube" speaker in the fuel tank.
