Plug-door boxcars are a boxcar with a door that seals flush into the car’s side (hence the term “plug”), providing better protection from weather and contamination. Its tight seal and smooth interior make it ideal for transporting moisture-sensitive or high-value goods such as paper, food products, and palletized freight. The Atlas Industrial Rail Plug Door Boxcar features a durable plastic body with metal wheel sets and couplers.
