Gondolas are an open-top freight car with low side walls, designed to carry bulk materials that are loaded from above and unloaded with machinery (Typically a crane). Gondolas are commonly used for transporting steel, scrap metal, aggregates, and heavy or oversized cargo. The Atlas Industrial Rail Gondola features a durable plastic body with metal wheel sets and couplers.
