Over the last two years, Broadway Limited Imports has received extremely positive feedback from customers regarding their diecast EMD SD70ACe. Today, Broadway are excited to announce their 2nd diecast diesel coming to market!

This is the body type that will be used for the Canadian National America 250 locomotives. Including the "Screaming Eagle" and "Air Force One" schemes.

In 2002, General Electric unveiled a locomotive that would forever change the landscape of North American railroading: the ES44. Part of GE's groundbreaking “Evolution Series,” these locomotives quickly became one of the best-selling diesel lines in history, with nearly 8,000 units built — many of which are still hard at work on the rails today.

This production run brings the ES44 to HO scale like never before. Unlike any GEVO previously offered by BLI, this release features all-new diecast tooling. That's right — these models will be diecast, following the same approach as Broadway's popular EMD SD70ACe in HO scale!

Each model is packed with premium detail, including diecast bodies, brass handrails and horn castings, road-specific details, and a diecast chassis for maximum tractive effort. Paragon4-equipped models will even feature smoke, bringing these iconic diesels to life on your layout.

 

This run also debuts a stunning lineup of all-new paint schemes, with many appearing in HO scale for the very first time. Highlights include:

• Norfolk Southern's “Landmark” units, Chicago and Altoona

• Norfolk Southern's America 250 series, nicknamed “The Stars & Stripes”

• BNSF Railway's three America 250 locomotives, numbered 1776, 2026, and 250

• Canadian National's two America 250 schemes, “Screaming Eagle” and “Air Force One”

• Two Union Pacific road numbers in the iconic “Building America” scheme

Every model will be available with Broadway's Paragon4 Sound/DC/DCC system, or in their “Stealth Series” No-Sound/DCC-Ready configuration. Each locomotive boasts road-specific details and individually controllable lighting.
