THE WAIT IS OVER.

Our N Scale Marine Industries 4550 cubic-foot Cylindrical Hoppers have arrived at the PWRS warehouse.

We’ll need the next few days to inspect and sort the shipment before we begin shipping orders. Once that’s complete, these cars will start making their way to the modellers who have been waiting for them.

Based on the 4550 cubic-foot cylindrical hopper design developed for Canadian National and Canadian Pacific in the 1970s, these cars became a common sight hauling grain, potash, fertilizer and other bulk commodities across North America. Many remain in service today.

This release represents the grain version, with the distinctive trough hatches running along the top of the car.

And we didn’t cut corners on the details. The models feature etched brass running boards and crossover platforms, multiple prototype-specific end and brake variations, detailed outlet gates, cut levers, and North American Railcar high-performance trucks.

Most importantly, this prototype has never been accurately produced in N scale before.
