PWRS - New Paint Scheme for Canadian National Dash 840-C Locomotives PLUS a Special Surprise.

Hey Boys & Girls:      FYI the above photo was taken yesterday (Nov 8, 2010) just east of Edson, Alberta. Why are we up in Edson Alberta taking photos, you ask?  Maybee something is in the wind.  Keep an eye open for a news announcement in the very near future.  (If you are going to the Boeing Employees Train Show in Seattle or the "Trains 10" in Vancouver, you will be the first to see!!

 Attention All Canadian National Fans:

Canadian National has  for the first time acquired some Dash 840-C locomotives and have begun to paint them in a spectacular new version of their red, white and black colors.

As you can see above the image is very striking.

And yes they do run on both sides of the Rockie Mountains.  Photo below is  at Prairie Creek west of Hinton, AB.

But that is just the beginning.  Check out the commemorative special paint scheme variation below celebrating 15 years as a non-government company.  The artistic representation of an SD70I adorns the side of CN 2115, along with sister 2113 one of two ex-UP C40-8s to wear this scheme which celebrates CN's 15 years of privatization.  At this time there are only two road numbers with the commemorative graphics.  "Word" has it that there will be three more locomotives painted in this livery. All the other locomotives in this series have the "CN" with the URL below it (as above).

In English  "The Journey Continues"

En Français "L'aventure se poursuit"

Pacific Western Rail will be producing a limited number of these commemorative and non-commemorative locomotives as custom painted engines.
