New N Scale Japanese Import Announcement

N Senseki Line 205-3100 Series “Mangattan Liner”
&
N Series 800 Kyushu Shinkansen Sakura & Tsubame

The Senseki Line 205-3100 series "Mangattan Liner" operates in the Ishinomaki region of Japan. The home of esteemed “manga” (Japanese comic) artist Shotaro Ishinomori, these “Manga Trains” are decorated with images of his creations, including “Kamen Rider”, “Cyborg 009”, and “Ganbare! Robocon” and are a popular sight on the Senseki Line.

Product features:

  • Four uniquely painted “Mangattan” cars with special paint, each depicting a different series of Japanese comic characters
  • This powered car set has illumination

In March of 2011, the Kyushu Shinkansen route was extended from its original layout to go all the way from Kagoshima-Chuo to Hakata (in order to allow it to join with JR West’s Shinkansen line). Accompanying this extension, the existing 800 series Shinkansen was modified as well to accommodate its longer journey. The Kato model, likewise, has been modified to accurately represent these changes, with modifications such as window glass arrangement, new “Sakura & Tsubame” lettering, and a new logo with “Around the Kyushu”.

Product features:

  • This set has been designed to represent the modern 800 Series Shinkansen’s appearance and comes in a collector’s bookcase with six prototypical electric train cars
  • A perfect running companion to the 10-590 Series 787 Kyushu Local Express “Around the Kyushu”, which is also available
  • All passenger cars can be lit with optional 11-209 or 11-210 interior lighting kits

Reservations Due By: September 25, 2011

Expected Release: November 2011
