New System Changes and Improvements from Pacific Western Rail Systems

Dear HO Scale Customers:

Over the past 6 weeks, you may have noticed minor changes to the website. Well today you will see a major change. And you will notice a new look and feel to our site.

We have moved the "Search" function to the top right hand side of the page. It is now called "Advanced Search".

We have also built a basic "Search Products" box. Now you can enter any key word and search on that word right from the get go.

You will also notice a "View Cart" option. And to the right of it you will see a "My Account" option.

The "My Account" option is going to an important function we would like to share with you. In the coming days/weeks, we will be building a Customer Extra-Net.

You may ask "What is a Customer Extra-Net?".

Well as many of you are aware, our sales reps at Pacific Western Rail spend considerable time calling customers and reviewing with them, their "Customer Reservation" lists.

Many of you have asked over the past 2 years "is it possible for customers to have access to their personal Reservation Charts".

In the very near future, selected customers, will be allowed to have their own passcode and log-on and will be able to access their personal reservation charts. In essence they will be able to self-manage their accounts!

  • This will soon include the ability to review your back-orders on line.
  • You will be able to see what items are sitting in your "paid for" or "goodie box".
  • You will be able to see your account history, of everything you have purchased from us.
  • You will be able to review the status of your back orders

If you are interested in being one of the first group of customers to be given this level of account self-mangement, please fill out the form on line, by clicking on "My Account" at the top right of the website.

Please note: we are making changes and additional functionality as quick as we can. It will not be possible to explain and train all of our customers how to use the new "My Account" portion of our web site at the same time. But we will try and get to you as fast as we can.
