Pacific Western Rail Systems Board Member Ed Homer Passes Away

We are saddened to report the loss of a dear friend, Ed Homer. In addition to being an avid N Scale modeler, Ed was an early supporter of Pacific Western Rail Systems, becoming a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors. He was also instrumental in the development of our sister company, North American Railcar Corporation.

Ed Homer passed away this afternoon after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just a handful of days ago. He had just returned home from joining us at the Edmonton Show when he began feeling poorly. His passage was swift and gave us little time to say goodbye properly. We talked to him just prior to his being admitted to the hospital and one thing he said to us was “Well, I’ve had a great ride!”

We do, and will continue to miss him greatly. Our love and condolences go out to his family and numerous, numerous friends. May his entrance to heaven be smooth.
