This blue GP35 loco with blue and white Conrail "Can opener" logo was built in May of 1964 by Electro Motive Division originally for the Penn Central and later carrying the PRR name. Conrail inherited this loco in the late 1970s when it was formed from six failing railroads. Conrail repainted many of these GP35s into this bright blue paint scheme with the "can opener" logo in the early 1980s.
