This powered GP-35 locomotive is painted SP Lark Grey with white lettering and SP Scarlet Red "bloody nose" scheme on the nose. After 1977, under the General Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (GRIP), SP retained ownership for all of the rebuilt units. These units were designated by adding an R suffix to the model designation.
