This 50 foot standard box car with plug door and no roofwalk is painted mineral red with one side wearing a white banner, framed in red, with graphics for 18 Canadian newspapers. Lettering is in both black and white. Trucks are Bettendorf.
This car was built in 1966 by National Steel Car and serviced in September 1970 when it received its specialized graphics. This car, one of four uniquely decorated, operated as such for a short while to raise awareness of the role of Canadian National in freight transportation for each item displayed on the car side. For this car it was its role in the transportation of newsprint.
