This 33ft twin bay hopper with offset sides is painted black with the red, white and black herald Anthracite herald and white lettering. It runs in Bettendorf trucks. This car built by Bethlehem Steel Company in Johnstown, PA in January of 1955. The Philadelphia and Reading Railroad Co. formed in 1842 to haul anthracite to Philadelphia. It became the Reading Co. in 1924 and remained primarily a coal hauler until its takeover by Conrail in 1976.
