This GP35 Locomotive is painted black with white lettering and white Penn Central logo. They were built by Electro-Motive Division of General Motors in 1964. From May of 1964 through April of 1965 the Pennsylvania Railroad purchased 100 GP35's from EMD. Then in 1968 the PRR merged with the New York Central to form the new Penn Central.
