ATSF Super Chief 4 Car Sets

Following the very successful release of Kato's California Zephyr Train, they will release the Santa Fe Super Chief in November '05 available as three 4-Car Sets

Each car will feature Stainless Steel body treatment, low flange wheels and Kato magnetic couplers. Cars can easily be illuminated with Kato #11209/11210 lighting kits listed below.

New Body Style Passenger Cars Included. The Pleasure Dome will feature the accurate for Santa Fe Straight-Shaped Dome and the Sleeper-Lounge-Observation car will sport the correct illuminated "Super Chief" tallsign. This should prove to be an extremely popular set with both collectors and operators ... Cars available in each of the 4 car sets are shown below.

Prototype Information ?
Following the very successful release of the California Zephyr in N scale, comes the "Super Chief." It will be available in individual F7A and F7B locomotive units and three different 4-car passenger car sets, so that you can enjoy operating this well-known Santa Fe train while incrementally adding locomotives and cars to eventually build your train into the complete 1953 weekend "Super Chief" consist.

3 steps to enjoy the ?Super Chief?
The concept behind the release of only individual F7A and F7B units and three separate passenger car sets is to:

Allow a consumer (on a more limited budget) to make his 1st purchase of 1 F7A unit plus Car Set A so that he can enjoy the operation of his ?Super Chief? short consist.

Later, this consumer can expand on his initial purchase and buy an additional F7B unit plus Car Set B to enjoy the ?Super Chief? with additional necessary cars.

Even later, this same consumer can complete his ?Super Chief? set by purchasing an additional F7B plus Car Set C. He may even add another F7A unit at this time or he may wait and purchase it on his following trip to the hobby store.
