Leanne V.E. Braid, a modeller in the British Columbia area, well-known in a good way to us here at Pacific Western Rail Systems, has announced the publication of a book. To be released in 2010, the title is simply Mileposts, the sub-title is "Milwaukee Road Pacific Extension".

It coveres the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad west of Glenham, South Dakota. Hundreds of hours of research, newly-created maps, and text will cover the time period from the completion of the road in 1908 until its abandonment in 1980.  It is truly a book for the prototypical modeller.
