Mmmmmm! The sweet smell of chocolate is in the air! The year was 1765 when James Maker and John Hannpn constructed their chocolate plant along the Neponset River in Dorchester, massachusetts. America's love for chocolate grew considerably throughout the years, as did the Walter Baker Company. Transpot of their product became essential, and while in the very early years horse and wagons were used, trains eventually became the prime mover. During the early to middle cars, containers on flat cars and later on tankers. the early tankers were decorated with a golden yellow silhouette of the "Chocolate Girl" as well as the company name on black tankers. the later and more famous were decorated in white with black, gray and red graphics
