These 40’ box cars with single doors and no roofwalks are painted sky blue with black and white logos and black lettering. They were built in December 1951, serviced in June 1975 and run on Bettendorf trucks. In June 1975, to improve the Rock Island image, 736 cars were re-built by USRE (United States Railway Manufacturing Co.) and painted into the new “ROCK” Sky Blue paint scheme
