Superelevation ... elevated!

      The latest addition to the N scale product series is our new line of modern double track with superelevated curves, now available as viaduct pieces via the V13 Double Track Elevated Loop Set! These sets are a complete track package with viaduct track and risers, and are compatible with any existing Kato Power Pack 22-014 (sold separately) or other brand Power Pack with the use of a 24-842 Adapter Cord.

      The V13 Double Track Elevated Loop Set is designed to replicate modern high-speed elevated rail systems with its tieless concrete-slab roadbed design and banked superelevated curves, and can run two trains independently via two Power Packs. It can also be easily upgraded with catenary poles through optional 23-061 Catenary Pole Sets (can also be used with new Ground Level Concrete Tie Double Track) to simulate overhead wires.

      The new UNITRACK Double-Track system has an exciting feature: Superelevation. The curves on both the ground level concrete-tie track and the new Concrete Slab Viaduct track are banked like real railroad curves in order to create a more realistic appearance as well as enhance modeler enjoyment! Of course, thanks to a clever approach track system, these curves are 100% compatible with all existing Viaduct Unitrack and bridges!

      All Unitrack pieces and accessories necessary to make a particular railroad layout, such as a passing siding or a bridge and viaduct loop. Each box comes with suggested layouts that you can build with the different set combinations.

      These track sets recreate the effect of Superelevation on rails; what this means is that corners are "banked", with the outer rail being posted higher than the inner rail. In the real world, this is designed for high-speed trains, lessening the stress on the trucks and train through turns and allowing them to take the curves at greater speeds. The overall effect is both subtle yet stunning to watch, and we eagerly anticipate bringing this new N Unitrack to the United States!
