This 40' box car with single door is painted brown with white logo and lettering.  It was built in August, 1944 by Pullman–Standard and runs on Bettendorf trucks. New Haven purchased 3,000 box cars, between 1941 and 1944, that were copies of the AAR’s 1937 box car design.  All 3,000 cars were delivered with black doors and delivered as follows:  30000-30999 built in 1941 by Pressed Steel Car; and 31000-32999 built 1944 by Pullman-Standard in Butler, PA.
