These 50’ box cars with double doors and roof walks are painted synthetic red with the UP red, white and blue shields and large “Union Pacific” letters. the cars are lettered in white. Both were buit in April 1957, serviced in September 1961, and run on Bettendorf trucks. they were in the first series of cars to receive the “Ship & Travel” slogan formally approved in 1962. Only two cars remained in this series by 1973.
