Our Newest GEVO - the ES44C4 - lets you run the modern power you see on the rails today! Using our standard DC body, we tooled new trucks to represent the added levers and cylinders that raise and lower the middle axle on the real deal. This is done to adjust the amount of tractive eort applied to the rails on the 4 drive axles. Used heavily on fast Intermodal trains, these new units can be found system wide on all types of trains including general merchandise and even coal trains. Also, to give it that new locomotive look, we used a brighter shade of orange that modelers have been asking for. Same great drive, same great details, and still one of the easiest locos to convert to DCC!
