These SD40-2 locomotives are painted gray with blue and yellow bands and gray roofs. The cabs and decks are blue, the nose and rear end is yellow, and the printing is blue and yellow. They were built in 1979 by Electro Motive Division aspart of order # 786287 for the L&N, later acquired by SBD, then CSXT. These locos retained their original numbers even whenthey changed reporting marks and paint. The paint scheme they wear was seen from 1992 through 2000, when cab roofs beganto be painted gray, with a few locos wearing it as late as 2002.
