These cars were built during the 1970's by FMC. They were initially used by a variety of operators including pool operators such as Railbox. Though not as common as some other car types, these cars have never the less gone on to serve well and examples remain in service today with both original and second hand owners. These are great for adding variety and authenticity to your layout.
