Pennsylvania 2365 was one of 15 GP-35's built by EMD for the Pennsylvania Railroad in March of 1965. She remained on the roster through several mergers, bankruptcy and eventually acquisition by Conrail in 1980, when she was repainted in the new Conrail paint scheme. The Pennsylvania GP-35 units began to be retired in the mid-1980s and continued to disappear from service until the last few retired in the mid-1990s.
