These Soo Line SD40-2 locomotives are painted with two different logos from two different times. #6609 was built in 1980 by EMD as part of order #797328. # 784 was built earlier in 1974as part of order #73695. It was delivered with a parallelogram logo with the road number located at the rear of the body.
Additional road numbers were soon added to the cabs for easier identification.
